Costumes/Dress up Bear ears on a headband
Games and Activities Bear Hunt (ages
3-8) Use the classic children’s game: We’re going on a bear hunt!
Everybody claps together and repeats what the leader chants. Bear Play (ages 3-8) Provide
your guests with a few toys (doll toys) and let them play with the
bears they brought. Free imaginative play is so much fun for a teddy
bear party.
Musical Paw Prints
(ages 3-10) Set out large bear paw prints in a circle, each with a
number. Have your guests walk in a circle while music plays. When the music
stops have all the guests stop on a bear paw print. Draw a number from a hat
and whoever is standing on that paw print wins a prize. Repeat until all guests
have had a chance to win.
What’s in the Cave?
(ages 3-10) A
friendly bear has stored away many items for his winter
slumber. Can your guests identify what’s in the dark cave, just by
feeling it? Make a small cave by draping a blanket over a chair or
small table and put a small toy inside the cave.
Teddy Tea Party
(ages 3-12) On the invitations ask all your guests to bring their
favorite stuffed animal and hold a tea party with honey tea and cookies. Winter Slumber (ages 3-12) Bears
hibernate through the winter, but they occasionally
wake up to eat a little food. Who can guess what food they've saved
just by feeling it? Put various foods in brown paper bags and let your
guests feel, but not look, and try to guess what is inside. You can try
a banana, an apple, and other foods that can handle little fingers
without crushing them. I would avoid crackers and grapes for a less
messy teddy bear party. |
