Superhero crest
Decorations
Colors
should match your favorite
hero.
For a classic
Superman party use
the primary colors, red, blue and yellow. Print out a large Superman
crest to
put up. Put up the phrase, “Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird. It's a
plane.
It's Superman!”
A Spiderman party needs blue and
red. Put spider web up in a corner, sprinkled with a few spiders from
Halloween
that have been spray painted blue and red.
A Batman party
calls for black and
blue, with a bit of grey. Put the Bat Signal on your wall and a bunch
of bat
silhouettes around the room.
Put up balloons
and streamers in
the appropriate colors.
Print out superhero
action
words and stick them around the room.
Show your
favorite superhero in
action! Print
out these spirals on colored paper that coordinates with your
favorite superhero and cut along the lines. Then tape a picture of
Superman,
Batman or Spiderman to the center of these curly danglers and hang from
the
ceiling.
Here's
a superhero birthday banner you can print and string up.
Costumes/Dress up
Give everyone a pair of oversized underwear (boys briefs) to
wear outside their clothes. It’s hilarious for the right age and it’s
what all
the superheroes do. Of course, be sensitive to how other parents may
feel. Some
would be extremely offended at such an idea.
Offer your guests
capes and masks. Capes can easily be made
from an old sheet.
Games
and Activities
Hot
Kryptonite (ages 3-7)
Have
the guests sit in a circle. Play music, preferably from
a superhero action movie, and have the guests pass around a piece of
Kryptonite
(a green colored stone or green bean bag). Stop passing when the music
stops.
The guest holding the Kryptonite is out. Continue until only one guest
is left. Find out who is the ultimate superhero at your ultimate
superhero party.
Stretch and Reach
(ages 3-12)
Mr. Fantastic and Elastigirl can stretch out really far.
Give each guest a stretchy hand and have them try to pick up as many
Uno cards (or
other card game) as they can, using the stretchy hands.
Villain Attack
(ages 3-12)
Allow the guests to take turns attacking the bad guys (inflatable
punch bag). Have them stand about 10 feet away, then run, punch or kick
the
punch bag.
Flash Race (ages
3-16)
Run fast like Flash. Use streamers for the finish line. |
