Jedi Training - Jedi's
go through years of training. Younglings do training in the temple and
Luke does training in a swamp. Hold your own training. Have your guests stand on their
heads--you may want to forgo the levitation of the ship out of the mud.
You can include other jumps and rolls that come in handy in a light
saber duel.
Yoda Speak
– Yoda has his own unique way of saying things. Encourage your guests
to mimic his way and say things mixed up for the party. Here's a few
ideas to get you started: Time for cake it is! Open presents we will. Many flavors of ice cream there are.
Time it is for games. Star Wars party enjoy you will! Jar Jar's Tongue
- I loved it when Jar Jar Binks was eating the food in Anakin's home on
Tatooine, grabbing it with his tongue from across the table....and
Qui-Gon grabs his tongue to stop him. Give each of your guests a
stretchy hand and use them to pick up a piece of paper, some small Star
Wars print out. How many can they pick up from a distance? I have a bad feeling about this!
Han Solo repeats this refrain often through the movies. Make sure you
hear it several times at your Star Wars party with this game. Set out a
bowl
of candies--but not too big of a bowl or you'll make your guests sick
with this game. Instruct the guests that any time during the party if
someone says the phrase, "I have a bad feeling about this," and someone
catches them saying it, everyone gets a piece of candy from the bowl.
If they can say it and no one catches them (except the host, obviously)
then only that one guest gets a piece of candy. Continue this game
through all other Star Wars games and activities until the candy in the
bowl is gone. Build a Droid
- Anakin did it and so can your guests. Provide lots of empty
boxes (spray painted silver) from macaroni and cheese, crackers, tissue
paper, etc. Set out electrical tape, pipe cleaners, aluminum foil,
aluminum pie tins, google eyes, glue, dryer vent hose and anything else
that seems like it might buid a fun robot. Let your guests have fun
building their own unique droid creations. Destroy a Droid
- C3PO
is always being taken apart. So, for your Star Wars party give each
guest a droid...or maybe a small appliance you picked up at the thrift
shop, and give
them a screwdriver, and see who can take their droid, or toaster,
apart the fastest. Catch the X-Wing Fighters – Print out several small printouts of an X-wing fighter and tape 2-4 on the back of each guest. Instruct the guests to capture as
many X-wing fighters as they can. The game is over when everyone has lost the fighter
pieces from their backs. The winner has the most fighters.
