Send out invitations. Keep it simple. Paste the invitation to a cut out of a Santa hat and give to each guest.

Decorate with icicles, Santa hats, and general Christmas decorations. Set a Santa hat on a stuffed puppy toy. Then add some dog themed decorations like puppy paw prints on the sidewalk leading up to the front door.

Serve refreshments and candy mixes in brand new, clean, dog dishes.

Then, play some games for your Santa Buddies party. Here are several ideas relating directly to the movie.

Cookie Stack – for when Puppy Paws gets Budderball in trouble by eating all the cookies. Have a contest to see which guest can stack the most cookies in their mouth for a single bite.

Break Dancing- for when B-Dawg is teaching Puppy Paws how to dance. Get some hip-hop Christmas music, teach a couple basic moves, then have fun.

Christmas Elf Fashion – for when Puppy Paws dresses Rosebud as an elf. Bring out Christmas wrapping paper, red and green tissue paper and a bunch of tape and let the guests design their own Santa Elf clothes.

Pudding Paint – for when Puppy Paws and Mud Bud shake the mud off in the cleanest, and whitest, room in the house. Decorate paper with chocolate pudding as finger paint.

Build Snowmen – for when Puppy Paws’ magic turns Buddha’s meditation statue into a snowman. Make the snowman from marshmallow and pretzels or use Styrofoam balls stacked with toothpicks, rolled in white glue and white glitter to look like snow.

Dog Catcher Chase – This is basically a version of freeze tag. Everyone runs from the dog catcher. If you get caught, you’re frozen. Another puppy has to touch you to free you.

Write letters to Santa – In the movie the letters bring more magic to the North Pole.

Make magic icicle necklaces. Find plastic icicle tree ornaments and turn them into necklaces. In the movie the Christmas Icicle holds all the magic that Santa uses.

Don't forget the reason for the season and help others with your Santa Buddies party.

Do something to get on Santa’s nice list. Make presents to give to a neighbor or friend or collect food for the local food pantry.
