beautiful gown with the
Provo Craft Cricut machine.

The shapes for this
cake
are cut using the Provo Craft Cricut Cake machine and the Storybook
cartridge.
Items Needed:
1 cake mix
Doll cake pan
1 can frosting
1 batch fondant
Blue gel food coloring
1/2 lb. gum paste
Storybook cartridge
|
Directions:
Bake cake
according to directions. Use the time listed for the bundt cake to bake
in the doll cake pan.
Mix the
fondant blue.
Cover the cake with
frosting and then fondant. Trim the
edges of the fondant around the base of the cake. You can smooth the
fondant over the cake or give the skirt ruffles.
Cover the doll top with
fondant as well. You'll need to smear a little frosting on the doll's
skin to help the fondant stick. Then wrap a small rolled out sheet of
fondant around it and connect it in the back. Gently trim the bottom
edge.
Roll out the gum paste and cut <flower1>
at 11". The little bit of grease from the mat will hold the flower in
place on the fondant. This will need to be ruffled so gently move it in
place.
On another mat of gum paste cut out about 10
<florish5> at 1". Brush the back of these with water and
carefully place around the bottom of the skirt.
Cut out a <heart>
at 2", brush the back with water and place over the front of the doll's
chest.

Place the doll in the
center top of the skirt.
Cut a <crown2>
at 1.5" and wrap around the doll's head. I tried several
colors and designs for the crown but my daughter insisted white was
best. I do like the look of the crown yellow with tiny candies along
the edges. It's tricky but looks nice.
Enjoy
the Oohs and Aahs
from your guests at your party.
