Here
are a few games to try:
Make a Wedding Dress
from tissue paper. Susan made a lovely bride and so can your guests.
Just give
them white tissue paper and tape and let them create a stunning bridal
dress.
Take lots of pictures because this one is fun.
Mama
Dietl’s Thumbs
were a bit odd. The poor weatherman’s mother would always lose in a
thumb war.
Let your guests have thumb wars to see who has the superior thumbs.
Remember at the
wedding? Try the Garter Slingshot
if you’re brave enough to do this at a party with
kids. Provide all the guests with garter and instruct them to fling
them around
and little targets you’ve provided. I don’t recommend shooting them at
each
other. An eye could get poked out!
What
does BOB stand
for? In the movie it stands for Benzoate Ostylezene Bicarbonate.
But, you
should have your guests make up their own versions for B.O.B. Maybe Big
Old
Blob or Blue Oil Ball. Have fun with it.
Stretchy
Bob was
handy to save all the monsters in a pickle. He could stretch out, grab
the
ceiling, and pull them all to safety. Use stretchy, sticky hand to
catch print
outs of aliens.
Bust a few Dance Moves
to break the code with Dr. Cockroach PH.D. This is my daughter’s
favorite part
of the movie and she watches it over and over and over, trying to mimic
Dr.
Cockroach’s dance moves. So, try this for your party. You can either
try to
learn his dance steps—good luck!—or you can play some fun dance music
and make
your own.
Gallaxhar said, “What
the flagnard!?” Have
your guests use that phrase anytime you
do something
new at the party or anything surprises them. You’ll hear it a lot
because they’ll
invent excuses to use it. But, it’ll be fun. This activity will give
your Monsters vs Aliens party the real feel of fun that came from the
film.
Insecatasaurus
Web
is a fun game. That guy shoots webs from his nose. Your guests can
shoot it
from
cans of silly string. Just let them have fun. After, have a contest to
see
which guests can make the biggest ball out of silly string. Easy clean
up!
