Hourglass Door Decoration

An hourglass door decoration that's just a little funky.

Supplies:
  1. Two rectangular plastic table covers
  2. Clear packing tape
  3. Scissors
Instructions:
  1. Begin with the table cover intended for the background--black in the picture. Wrap it around the front of the door and tape it to the backside of the door.
  2. Then, tape the other table cover over the top of the first table cover, but only at the top and bottom. This is the green table cover in the picture above.
  3. Then pull the sides of the hourglass table cover toward the middle and wrap some tape around the middle.
  1. You can use glue dots or extra tape to hold the two table covers to each other. I recommend the glue dots.
Confession:

I made this door backwards first.

I used the green table cover as the background and then I had to cut the black into triangles to make it look right.

Those triangles did not want to stick to the tape and stay.

What a pain!

Definitely make it the way outlined above.
