Cakes

cricut hat cake
Make this Lacy Hat Cake with the Provo Craft Cricut Cake machine.

Or make a doll cake. Decorate it with your favorite prom dress ideas.

Better yet, decorate a square or round cake with white fondant and circle cut outs of various sizes of black fondant. Maybe add a red fondant bow in the center. Simple elegance.

Decorations
Your colors can go in almost any direction: pink and purple, black and white with a dash of red, gold and red, turquoise and brown or whatever is most popular at the moment.

Make a centerpiece with a pair of high heeled shoes filled with flowers.

Use feather boas for garland. Put large cut outs of stars and flowers all over the walls. Cut them from fabric and then “glue” them to the wall with liquid starch. Or use white glue to secure fabric to cardboard cutouts of the shapes and then hang them up.
