Easter Nests
Make Easter nests filled with jelly beans or chocolate candies. This is perfect for a
spring party or an Easter party treat.
|
|
Gather
your supplies:
- Oil spray
- Muffin tins
- 1/4 cup butter
- 45 marshmallows
- 6 cups rice krispy cereal
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- Food coloring
- Egg shaped candy (jelly beans, chocolate eggs, etc.)
|
First, spray the inside of the muffin tins. One batch can make 24 nests.
Over a medium heat melt the butter and marshmallows, stirring
frequently.
When marshmallows are melted, or at least very close to being
completely melted, remove from heat. Add cereal and coconut and mix in. Then add 6-8 drops of food coloring.
Quickly spoon the marshmallow treats into the muffin tins. It's a
messy business and won't sit perfectly into the muffin tins at first.
With a little oil on your fingers shape the marshmallow treats into the tins with a little well in the center to hold the eggs.
After the nests have cooled put 2-3 egg candies in each nest.
I
hope you enjoy making this delicious spring craft.
