Games and Activities
Bingo Was His Name-o (ages 3-8)
Sing the Bingo song… There was a farmer who had a dog and Bingo was his name-o. If you’re lucky, your guest of honor has only 4 or 5 letters in his or her name and you can substitute that name for Bingo in the song.

Lick to Clean It (ages 3-10)
Give each guest a small, inflated balloon that has been dipped in pudding or frosting and instruct them to lick it clean. The first one clean wins!

Spot Says (ages 3-10)
Play this like Simon Says. One guest stands at the front of the other guests and gives instructions like, “Wave your hands in the air.” If the instructions are preceded by, “Spot says,” then the guests should do them. If they are not preceded with, “Spot says,” then any guest doing the instructed action is out of the game. Continue until only one guest is left and they win this dog party game.

Scoop the Poop (ages 3-16)
Sprinkle the area with many unwrapped Tootsie Rolls. Split the guests into two teams and supply each team with a sand bucket and shovel. Each team sends out one guest at a time to scoop up as many Tootsie Rolls as they can in ten seconds (have the guests count to ten aloud). Then hand off to another guest on their team for another ten seconds. Continue until each guest has had a chance to scoop the poop. The team with the most Tootsie Rolls wins! If there’s a lot of guests count to five while they scoop the poop with this dog party game.

Sniff Around (ages 3-16)
Guess the surprise the way dogs figure it out. Put different foods in cheap plastic containers with lids (not see-through). Punch a few small holes in the lids so the guests can smell what is inside, without seeing it. Number the containers then pass them around and have the guests guess what’s inside. Older guests can write their guesses on a sheet of paper. Smells like a dog party, now.

Chasing Cars (ages 3-16)
Get out a remote controlled car and have the guests take turns steering it and trying to catch it. You’ll have just one or two steering it and a whole pack chasing it. The trick is the guests chasing the car can only pick it up with a giant pair of dentures. Okay, that’s not too practical. Make two brown paper lunch sacks into puppets that only have teeth. Slip it over the guest’s hands. It’ll make it more difficult to pick up. The guest who catches and picks up the remote control car, gets to steer the RC car next.

Shoe Match (ages 3-16)
Puppies love to chew on shoes. Have fun with this shoe searching puppy party game. Find several extra pairs of shoes, enough for each guest. Then set one of each pair in a pile and hide the matching pairs in the room. Have each guest select a shoe from the pile and on, “Mark, set, go!” have them search the room for the matching shoe.

Obedience School (ages 3-16)
Enroll your puppy party guests in a short Obedience School and teach them to roll over, sit, shake, beg, etc. Be sure to present each of them with a certificate of completion so they will always remember the dog party they attended.

Catch Me (ages 5-16)
Give each guest a safety pin to wear on their shirt. Then instruct the guests that, during their party, they should always turn around in a circle three times before sitting down. If anyone catches someone else NOT turning around, they get to claim their safety pin, and any other safety pins that guest may have collected.

Whistle Contest (ages 7-16)
Hold a contest to see who can whistle the loudest, longest, and highest pitch. But, hold this dog party game outside.

Acrostic Poem (ages 8-16)
Make an acrostic poem of your dog’s name, current, past, or dream dog. It’s simple, just use words from the provided list that begin with each letter in your dog’s name.

Crafts
Puppy Ears (ages 3-8)
Cut out felt puppy ears and hot glue them to a headband. The youngest guests will need lots of help with the hot glue, in fact, don’t let them do it themselves. You can make long floppy ears or pointed ears. One color or two tone. This is a fun wearable puppy party craft.

Puppy Puppet (ages 3-8)
Glue the printout of a dog’s face to the bottom of a brown paper bag to make a puppet. Give your guests marker or crayons to color them.

Paw Print Photo Frame (ages 4-12)
Provide each guest with a foam photo frame and foam stickers to design their own puppy photo craft. Stickers the shapes of paw prints or dog bones work well.

Refreshments
Flower Pot
Dogs love digging in flower beds. Let your dog party guests dig through their own flower pot. Fill individual cups with chocolate pudding or ice cream and top with crumbled cookies and a flower in a straw.

Doggie Bone Biscuits
Bake sugar cookies cut in the shape of doggie biscuits. You can add a bit of cinnamon to make them a darker color, like most of those biscuits are. This party has gone to the dogs!
