Dance Like Monkeys
– Play some silly or lively music and let your guests dance like monkeys. Have
them freeze their poses when you pause the music. Tons of fun.
Yellow Hat Toss -
Make a yellow hat by wrapping a garbage pail in yellow paper and tape a yellow
rim around the top of the garbage pail and have your guests try to toss balls
or bean bags into the yellow hat. Give them a prize if they can get the balls
in the hat.
Monkey See, Monkey Do
– Let your guests take turns at Follow the Leader. Let the leader say, “Monkey
see, monkey jump.” Then everyone jumps. Or, “Monkey see, monkey slither.” Then
everyone one slithers. Or roll hands. Or crawl. Or sing. Or clap. Take turns
and have fun.
Banana Boats – Provide
each guest with a banana and set out lots of toppings for the bananas like:
mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, cherries, peanut butter, caramel and
chocolate topping. Pull out a narrow strip of the banana peel, slice the banana
(still in the peel) and top with favorite toppings. Then eat and enjoy! A great Curious George party snack.
Sail Newspaper Boats
– Fold newspaper boats like Curious George did in the book, Curious George
Rides a Bike. The book even shows you how to fold newspaper boats. You can
race the boats if you have your own private stream. Or, you can float them in a
bathtub or a small swimming pool.
Read Curious George Books
– I know it seems like of obvious, but don’t over look it. My kids love Curious
George from when they begin to love stories up to age 10. This is a great activity to begin your Curious George party.
