Make a Clown
Ice Cream
Make a clown ice cream for your carnival or circus party.
My kids all love this treat.

It's a great ice cream treat for kids.
One
eats just the cone, one eats
just the ice cream, and one eats just the frosting.
But, they all have
to have their own clown.
That's the way it goes. |

Gather
your supplies: frosting, ice cream, ice cream cone
Use
only a little food coloring for soft pastel frosting. Use a lot of food
coloring for bright frosting that tastes, well, like food coloring. Put
the frosting in baggies with the tip of the corner cut out, or use
disposable decorator bags with the tip cut off.
Let the ice cream soften a little. Then scoop it onto squares of wax
paper and put into freezer to harden.
To make the clown, put the cone upside down on top of the scoop of ice
cream.
When
adding the frosting, work your way from the bottom up. It's easier.
And, if you're not sure how to do the right shape for the mouth or
eyes, practice a couple of times on a piece of paper.
Add a blue ruffle around the base of the ice cream by zig zagging
around the ice cream with the blue frosting.
Put in an orange mouth.
Add purple eyes, try for a triangle shape.
Put several large green dots on the cone, and a tuft of green around
the base of the cone.
You can add hair if you want, but you don't have to. I made orange and
green hair. Lots of orange, just a little green on top.
Put in the freezer until you're ready to serve them. They'll taste
better if they're kept in a separate container.

It's
a pretty simple treat. Frosting each clown only takes a couple
minutes.
Have fun!
