Make
An Apple Turkey
Make an apple turkey for your Thanksgiving party.

This
is a fun and tasty kids Thanksgiving craft you can make while waiting
for the real turkey to bake.
And, if they snitch a little at the goodies, just remember it is a holiday and be forgiving.

Gather your supplies: apple, toothpicks, gumdrops, marshmallows and
chocolate chips.
Use a toothpick to attach the marshmallow to the apple for a turkey
head.
Stack gumdrops on toothpicks to make tail feathers. Each toothpick will
hold about three gumdrops.
Of course, you can use other items such as Fruit Loops cereal, green
and black olives, or other squishy food items.
Leave a little toothpick at the bottom to stick into the apple.
First stick in the center tail feather for your turkey.
Add a couple feathers on either side of the middle tail feather.
Add the remaining tail feathers.
Stick
a couple of chocolate chips or raisins in for eyes. If they won't stick
nicely in the marshmallow you can use frosting or cream cheese
as
glue.
Use a small piece of red gumdrop for a waddle.
